Can you repeat your company’s mission statement? Do you know what it is? Is it a page long? Funny how some organizations take pride in creating a very sophisticated and detailed mission statement or philosophy but no one in the organization knows what the heck it is or know the true purpose. If you are in a leadership position or play a role in creating your company’s statement make it short, simple, and to the point. Make sure everyone knows what your goal is and why you even exist. If not, then why even bother.

If you are like me you tend to sift through tons of emails, tweets, and articles everyday trying to find information that is actually useful. I want to share 5 Leadership blogs that I tend to keep coming back to. In no particualr order they are……
Michael Hyatt - I was hooked on his blog the first time I stumbled upon his Twitter profile a few years ago when he was blogging part time while also having a little gig like being the CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishing. He blogs full time now and I read it everyday.
American Express OPEN Forum (Leadership) - Great and very insightful content every single day. Never lets me down.
Seth Godin - Who doesn’t read this guys stuff. I hear he has probably the most subscribers of any blog in the universe. He is also on author of a gazillion books as well. Always has a fresh take on something interesting. TRAILBLAZER……
Terry Starbucker - Terry “Starbucker” St. Marie is a great blogger and provides tons of fresh leadership articles that come his own perspective. He is field tested and enjoy his material. I use way too much of his material in my tweets. It is sort of a problem of mine.
Kevin Eikenberry - First of all his name is just fun to say but his material on leadership is awesome. I first got o glimps of his style on Twitter and then realized what a great leadership expert he was. He also co-wrote From Bud to Boss which is a great book for any first time supervisor or manager.
There are tons of great leadership blogs out there but just wanted to point out a few that were definitely worth checking out.
