About
Most people know the brake industry from one seat. I've spent two decades in two of them.
From 2004 to 2012 I held an HR leadership role at Akebono Brake Corporation, hiring engineers, plant leaders and sales teams. In 2012 I started The BRAKE Report to cover the industry's news, and began recruiting for it at the same time. In 2017 I founded Hagman Search.
The two businesses inform each other. Publishing keeps me in daily conversation with suppliers, OEMs and the people building the next generation of braking systems. Recruiting shows me who is moving, what companies need, and where the talent is. Clients get a recruiter who knows the market. Readers get a publisher who knows the people.
